You may remember that NG41 is the same unit where Calitz produced a 104-pounder for another client two seasons ago. Calitz has the contracted lease to NG41 through 2017. The question right now (as of February 1, 2013) is whether the government will issue a quota for elephant in this area after 2013. As we reported in our December 2012 issue, hunting on all government areas in Botswana will close in 2014, and elephant quotas overall will not be issued anymore. |
