Here is an elephant one of my self-guided hunters just took last week. He said he followed four other bulls before finally connecting with this one. As you may know, Cameroon has closed export of its elephants to the EU due to the poaching issues in Bouba Njida Park, where over 300 were slaughtered. The poachers came all the way from Sudan to hunt in Cameroon! They shot three on my northern concession, but left the other animals alone and were soon chased out by the military response to their activities. |
