Zimbabwe Banned List
Updated/Expanded (Barbara Crown Note: US Hunters considering a safari to Zimbabwe need to read this list carefully, as it contains the names of individuals in Zimbabwe with whom Americans cannot legally do business. It also contains the names of Zimbabwe properties where Americans are forbidden to hunt. The list appears on the web site of the Office of Foreign Assets Control of the US Treasury Department, the branch of the US Government empowered to enforce economic sanctions against the Zimbabwe government. No American should sign a contract with an individual listed here, nor should he/she hunt on any property listed here. Furthermore, we recommend that all would-be clients copy this list and show it to their intended outfitter. Ask pointedly if the offered hunt will involve doing business with anyone on the list or whether it will take place on a listed property. It is no guarantee of protection against prosecution, but we recommend that all clients get a written statement from their Zimbabwe outfitter attesting to the fact that the offered hunt will not involve anyone or any property on this list. The Zimbabwe Sanctions program provides for serious penalties.
