Special Licenses Available We've told you before about those special licenses given to each of Wyoming's seven Game & Fish Commissioners each year. These are antelope, deer and elk license authorizations that the commissioners give to numerous charitable organizations for their fundraising programs. They are similar to the Governor's Licenses, only Commissioner Complimentary Licenses allow the license holder to hunt one region or hunt area of their choosing throughout all legal seasons (unlike the Governor's License, which allows a hunter to hunt any area, with few exceptions, during any legal season). Commissioners Licenses are typically available for a fraction of what the Governor's Licenses usually go for. These licenses are auctioned or raffled off by each organization throughout the year. Often they are advertised locally, and occasionally sold on eBay or at national conventions, but most of the functions are local events and, therefore, fly well under the radar nationally. That means some very attractive opportunities often emerge.
