Wyoming Commissioner Licenses
Every year the State of Wyoming issues dozens of special licenses to the commissioners of its Wildlife Commission, who then donate those licenses to various conservation-oriented charities for their fundraising efforts. These licenses will be sold by raffle or auction over the next few months, offering both resident and nonresident hunters the opportunity to bypass the draw for a limited-entry license. Commissioner Complimentary Licenses, as they are called, allow the lucky holder to hunt any one of four big game species: pronghorn antelope, whitetail deer, mule deer or elk. That's right, the license allows you to choose which species you want to hunt. You also get to hunt in any one area of your choice in the state (except elk areas 75 and 79). You only need to stay within the season dates for the species you select. You are also exempt from the provisions that limit hunters to one license in any calendar year. So, if you win one of these licenses at auction or in a raffle and get one through the drawing, you can keep both!
