California Bighorn Sheep Hunt For Sale
Abe Dougan of Big Boar Outfitters and Tim Stephenson of TallGrass Outfitting in conjunction with the Kamloops Indian Band and the BC Government invite you to join in a private sale for the FIRST EVER California Bighorn Sheep hunt conducted on the Harper Ranch Herd in southern British Columbia.
The Hunt
The hunt will take place in the height of the rut commencing on November 1 through to November 15, 2006. These are an un-hunted population of sheep supporting several Rams in the low 170s with a few reaching to the high 170s and even low 180s.The agreed price includes 7 days of scouting prior to your arrival, food and accommodations with Abe at his residence and 15 days of hunting. Being that these sheep have never been hunted makes an incredible opportunity for a bowhunter to harvest a huge California bighorn ram. These sheep are easily approachable to bowhunting range. The terrain is very accessible making it physically mild to moderate. Regardless of your choice of weapon, our goals are to provide an ethical, free ranging and unforgettable hunt - AND to harvest the biggest ram in the Harper Herd.
The Sale
The Sale is going to Take Place on April 19th at 5:30 Pacific Time. Specified bidders will be included on a phone list. Order of bidders will be decided by a random drawing. The call list will be sequentially followed, when your turn arrives if you fail to bid you will then be excluded from the remainder of the sale. Opening purchase price will be $50,000 US Dollars. Increments are a minimum of $1,000.00 USD. Upon successful purchase $20,000 USD will be paid to the Kamloops Indian Band within 10 days and the remainder must be paid within a 30-day period. If the conditions are not met the next highest possible purchaser will then be eligible for the hunt at his last purchase price. 70% of the final price will be used strictly for Wild Sheep Management.
