Major Game Animals Taken: Bear, Grizzly - Availability: Abundant - Trophy Size: Hide 8 foot 8 inches. Skull - 24 2/16 B&C. Game Sought But Not Taken: Game Condition Comments: This was my second hunt with Dennis Beatie (Wicked River Outfitters). I completed my grand slam by taking a great Stone ram in 2005. I rebooked for a spring grizzly hunt this spring. I was guided each time (Stone sheep) and now grizzly by Steve Fiarchuk, Dennis's son-in-law. Steve is as good a guide that my husband Doug and I have been associated with in over 40 years of sheep hunting and hunting North American big game. This is a family run operation and they treat hunters with respect.

Problems of Hunt: Highlights of Hunt: Seeing and taking a grizzly bear of a lifetime - saw four grizzlies, numerous black bears, moose, deer and elk. My trophy grizzly made B&C all time. Equipment Recommendations: Large cal rifle (I used .300 win mag) rain gear and good boots. Would You Recommend This Hunt to a Friend? Yes Why? The Beattie's operation is a family run business. They treat you good, great food, great camp and generally work with the hunters to make sure they are successful.

Major Game Animals Taken: Sheep, Stone - Availability: - Trophy Size: 39 1/2 inches. Game Sought But Not Taken: Wolf - Availability: Did not hunt. Game Condition Comments: We spotted this sheep in the first 25 minutes. Our eyes were glued to him all day. The wind would not let us make a stalk. Day two rain and 200 yard visibility. Day three we spotted him within one hour made a long stalk and harvested him. For the amount of time I hunted I can not give an honest opinion of the availability of game. Although by day three this ram had four ewes and two smaller rams with him.

Problems of Hunt: Highlights of Hunt: Spotting a 39 1/2 inch sheep in the first 25 minutes of hunt and harvesting him two days later which was my birthday. Equipment Recommendations: Would You Recommend This Hunt to a Friend? Yes Why? Steve does all Wicked River sheep hunts. He knew what to do at the right time and how to do it. This was the 84th ram for Steve. He has never harvested one for himself.
