Bushbuck - Availability: Abundant - Trophy Size: 13 inches. Duiker, Bush - Availability: Abundant - Trophy Size: Two. 4 1/4 inch and 4 inches. Steenbok - Availability: Abundant - Trophy Size: Two. 4 1/2 inch and 4 inch. Game Sought But Not Taken: Varmint - Availability: Jackal. Too windy for calling. Game Condition Comments: Grahamstown is the "go to place" for common waterbuck. Hunt them like kudu on the hillsides. This area has farms with more / bigger waterbuck than the Matetsi area in Zimbabwe (based upon 2004 hunt). I passed on two caracal seen early evening at 100 yards and 200 yards, respectively. Be sure to advise Grand Safari about your trophy objectives in advance, since trophy size and abundance varies from one area to the next.

Equipment Recommendations: If you want a jackal, bring a Foxpro caller and the Foxpro "fuzzy wriggler" decoy with remote controls. Local jackal too smart for mouth calls and dragging chum.
