Lots of elk in this unit; outfitter has been in area for a number of years and knows area well; would have had no problem taking a 320-330 bull but I was only focused on 350+ |

SUMMARY
REMARKS |
 |
| Problems
of Hunt: |
None within control of outfitter; my lack of seeing big bulls is why it's called hunting and not killing. |
| Highlights
of Hunt: |
The adrenaline rush associated with a very quick (but missed) opportunity at 6x7 360 bull; was my fault as I just couldn't make it happen. |
| Equipment
Recommendations: |
Good boots; the hunt is not as demanding as some other regions in the west; outfitter will base hunt around hunter's physical ability. |
| Would You
Recommend This Hunt to a Friend? |
yes |
| Why? |
All the guides worked hard for their clients. I had 3 clients with me, and we all had opportunities at big elk. Their guides were every bit as dedicated as Perry was for me. Great camp - great food. I am rebooked with same clients in 2013. BTW - the additional $4000 was for a landowner tag. |

|
I spent a great deal of time researching the outfitter for this hunt, as I planned on bringing important clients. I kept seeing a few names repeatedly on different hunting forums, and after seeing references to Perry's frequent hunt donations to SCI and RMEF, and his lifetime NRA membership, I called him. Perry is a class act, ethical, and all around good man. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.

Nick has horses and mules and also guides some great elk and mule deer hunts. He is an absolutely great outfitter and guide who really cares about getting his hunters top trophies. I'm going to make a point of hunting with him again.
