I recently hunted with Thaba Mmoyo back in September 2009 and also had a fantastic hunt! However, they have really upgraded their hunting lodge. It was nice before, but it's really something now! Zeriah really put a lot of time and effort into the new design. I highly encourage all to plan a trip and go see what they have done to the place. Like always, when you arrive, they treat you like family and really go out of their way to make sure you are having a great hunt. I can't wait until my next hunt, as there are still so many animals I plan on taking. After being burned a few times on hunts, I am just glad my family and I found honest hard working people that really take care of my family and I when we are in Africa! I have no worries.

I had been wanting to take a Cape buffalo for many years now. The first hunt I ever booked was with Usangu Safaris. I was burned in this deal as well as many other hunters on this site. Usangu took our money and never provided us with a hunt. Robbie Kruger was another outfitter who was dishonest. Being a retired law enforcement officer, I never saw their scams coming until it was too late. After all those rotten eggs, we were lucky to find Fanie and Zeriah of Thaba Mmoyo Safaris. They are super honest and hard working and they treat you like family. From now on we will hunt only with them. I know there are many other trusted, honest outfitters out there, but we have found a home away from home with Thaba Safaris.

This was my 19th trip to Africa, my ninth time I have gotten together with Thaba Mmoyo. They run a first class operation in every way. I could not recommend them highly enough. They are wonderful, honest people to deal with. Trophy quantity and quality is excellent. The biggest reason I guess I keep returning is Fanie Steyn is the most enjoyable person you can imagine to hunt with. No one could possibly go home disappointed in this hunt. |

Hunting with Zeriah Steyn (one of the only women licensed PH in the entire country- a great effort by a great ph) very long difficult stalk on zebra and a succesfull 250 yard shot; Working for 4 days straight and finally scoring a klipspringer in the mountains. |

Fanie & Zeriah Steyn are great friends and have a top quality, family- run outfit. Great hunting, excellent accomodations, abundant game and very high quality trophies. I have hunted plains game and buffalo (in Zim) with Steyn's handling all I would not go with anyone else. |

Great people and very family oriented. We took our two year old, it was her second trip to the Steyns. The only thing to say is first-class all the way. Our second trip there and we will be going back for leopard. |

All game was generally abundant and in excellent shape. Many excellent waterbuck, impala, warthog and kudu seen. Animals I mentioned as average availability (wildebeest, eland) only due to the fact that I was successful quickly and therefore did not look over a lot of specimens. |
