This was a rather large trip for me and there was a fair amount of concern of quality of hunt and opportunity of harvest. Once arrived, all concerns vanished, I knew I was going to be taken care of. Problems of Hunt: Kidney Stone attack - no fault of the hunt, just bad timing. Highlights of Hunt: Monster red stag on 3rd day spot & stalk magnificent animal. Problems of Hunt: The hunt was a challlenge only because I wanted to take all my animals on foot and free range. Highlights of Hunt: The abundance of game is remarkable. This by far was the best hunt I have been on. The access to so much game was incredible and the great job done by Mr. Scott Thomson in providing an enjoyable hunt for several different species was the icing on the cake. I did not have much time and was able to harvet all the animals I chose to hunt. Great trip. I highly recommend Southern Hunting Safaris for your New Zealand hunting experience.
