I brought my 7 year old son down for his 7th birthday and he got to hunt for Javelina, taking 2 of them. They were his first big game animals and he is hooked. Hunting with Rowdy is just a fun time. We looked at a lot of animals and I was able to take 2 big sheep!

After waiting 3 years to hunt the Williams ranch and pushing the dates back to later in the year, I finally got to hunt the Williams Ranch. A great place, tons of animals, and one of the most fun good guys you could ask for. |

Since I did not connect on a red sheep and a monster aoudad we were chasing, I am going back in December to hunt the other 2 sheep on the property. Rowdy is just a fun guy to be around and pleasure to hunt with. The accommodations are comfortable and food was excellent. The ranch is not by any means a high fence hunt and the sheep are free ranging and spooky as sheep can be. I would recommend this hunt to anyone looking for a wild sheep hunt close to home.

I recently returned from an exceptional hunt in southwestern Texas. We hunted in the Davis Mountains close to the Texas/Mexico/New Mexico borders. This was my first time in the area, and I was totally surprised to find the Davis Mountains reach a mile high in elevation and are extremely rugged.
No, this was not a high-fence hunt in any sense of the word! We hunted on the Clayton Williams Ranch, which covers 66 square miles with only three-strand barbed wire fencing. We hunted for a total of eight days, taking a red sheep, an American sheep and an aoudad. All animals were super trophies.
My guide and outfitter was Rowdy McBride. I cannot say enough about his knowledge of the area and sheep, and his dedication to making the total hunt experience top notch. I can highly recommend this hunt to anyone. This was like finding a very well kept secret. My trophies are super and meet requirements for the Ovis Super Slam of the world since they are free ranging.
