If anybody is thinking of taking his family on safari, then look no further than Robin Hurt Safaris. They are ethical, professional and take particular care of their clients. The standard of the camp, the cuisine and the ability of the professional hunter, Patrick Carey cannot be emphasised enough. The area is exceptionally good for buffalo and Impala and streches all the way to the Serengeti in the North to lake Eyasi in the South.

Seeing all the animals in their natural environment. Even animals not on license like giraffes, leopards, lions and elephants. Spending time where the Masai live, learning about their way of life. Staying a night at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge to break up the hunt. The lodge and dining were outstanding. Overall service from the team at Robin Hurt was exceptional. Everyone was extremely nice and catered to our every need. |

If you are interested in an African safari that you would your wife to accompany you on, would highly recommend this hunt with Robin Hurt. The camp facilities provide running water, hot showers, electricity, flushing toilets. Most of the creature comforts you would have at home. The food is excellent, with dinner served every night by a fire in the fireplace. Wonderful soups, salads, entrees, fresh vegetables and dessert. More than anyone could ever eat. There is a selection of fine wines, beers and they will even work to provide you with and special requests. The hunting is excellent, wildlife viewing fantastic, and seeing the lifestyle of the Masai is extremely interesting. Simon Evans the PH is the best there is, anywhere. The trackers were extremely skilled and intimately knowledgeable about the area. Most live right in the area that you hunt. Care of trophies is miticulous, with very skilled and hard working skinners. When we arrived we were greeted by Johan, one of the camp managers, who helped us get our firearms through customs, collected our luggage and drove us to our hotel. The following morning he picked us up and took us to the main offices of Robin Hurt where we met up with our PH and went out to camp. We were catered to from the time we landed in Arusha to the time we departed - even escorted to a local crafts village. That is the kind of service you can expect from Robin Hurt.

I called you just days before my trip to Tanzania, with Robin Hurt Safaris, my concern was your article about KLM and flights to Arusha. I'm happy to tell you we had no problems, two hunters, two non hunters, two gun cases, everything came through with no problems. As for Robin Hurt and Company, we booked 10 days in Maswa when I told Robin and Company what animals I wanted they decided to start our hunt in Burku, Masiland then drive to Maswa about 1 days travel time. When we arrived we were informed that we would hunt both areas, but they would pick up the ticket and fly including guide at no charge. Our camp, food, equipment, plenty of game, everything was perfect. In ten days we saw 34 different species of animals. The only hiccup we found my partner wounded a buffalo; the buffalo got our PH Austin Weinand one of Africa's best. I've hunted with Austin before very professional, we had a satellite phone and in no time we had a plane come to take Austin to Nairoke, Kenya to the hospital, at the same time another guide steps off the plane and our hunt continued without a hitch. Thank goodness Austin will be fine, and will have some story to tell. The two of us got all the animals we had on license. I took my sixth buffalo, this one with one shot. I can't say enough about Robin Hurt and Company. They are the best.

Bug tamer for the Niensi area. There are a lot of Tse-Tse flies and mosquito. |

I would recommend the hunt. It is extraordinary. We were three (Me, Robert Garza, and Lorenzo Barrero) and took 60 trophies between the three; two lions, two leopards, five buffalos, three sables, two roan and one crocodile. |
