My hunting was on high fenced ranches ranging from 1,000 acres to 22,000 acres, most within 30 minutes from camp. In 10 days, I hunted 8 different ranches. I did a fixed price hunt (the "Magnificent 7"), with a few trophies added on, which explains why the reported hunting fees and other costs appear low. The package brings the total costs down substantially compared to a la carte, yet I was still offered opportunities at good representatives of each species included. Some clients chose to hunt an additional concession area in the Free State Province (South of Jo'burg), which offered open rolling prarie and different species (e.g., springbuck and black wildebeest). The clients reported loving it. I wanted to stay in one camp, and therefore opted not to hunt Free State area. It all depends on what species you want to collect.

My wife is not a hunter, but was with me on this hunt. She had a lot of fun with all the extra side trips they had for her. The arranged a side trip for the two ofus to Victoria Falls. Went without a hitch. The camp also has a spa for folks to "unwind." This was a GREAT TRIP.. that is after we were done dealing with British Air.
