SUMMARY
REMARKS |
 |
| Problems
of Hunt: |
Weather caused three lost days. |
| Highlights
of Hunt: |
We had stalks on five different goats, two gave us the slip, I missed a shot at one, one turned out to be a nanny and then I took a vey big billy with 5-6 inch long hair. |
| Equipment
Recommendations: |
None really. I hunted in Sitka 90 percent with layers to come off when climbing and go on when riding or glassing. Horse equipment was in very good condition. |
| Would You
Recommend This Hunt to a Friend? |
Yes |
| Why? |
It was great fun with a lot of challenge and opportunity. |

| Hunting Experience: |
Extensive in North America. Sheep Grand Slam, elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, cougar, etc. |
| Physical Condition: |
Very good for 55 years old. This was tough climbing as much was in knee deep snow which fell shortly after I arrived. They can accommodate less fit hunters but to do the best you need to be in shape. |

This is my third time with Dave Beranek of Packhorse Creek Outfitters and each time was great. They work hard to help all hunters succeed in taking their game. They are a very reliable group of guys. We had cabin accommodations which were great considering that bad weather was involved. The cabins were nice and comfortable. The food was very good the whole time. Two guides, Jay Hebert and Tyson Musil came to help with retrieval when we thought it might be difficult. The country is beautiful and there is a lot of game. We were observing goats and sheep every day and a few elk, moose and deer too. I'm trying to figure out what to hunt in the future with Packhorse Creek Outfitters. Next time I might let Jay or Tyson guide me.
