This was my 6th hunt in Africa and I had killed most of the common plains games in SA and Namibia. MY PH drove me all over the northern portion of SA in order to fill my wish list. Numzaan has dozens of hunting locations located all over SA, Namibia, and other South Africans countries. |

As you can see from the list above all of the animals make the SCI book. All of the animals were abundant, and in excellent physical condition. I took several additional animals including a really special Berchall Zebra stallion that did not have a single mark on his hide, and he had what I am told is a rare white tail. |

What a difference a great carrier can make on such a long trip. We had lamb for dinner on the way to SA, with real utensils. The service was spectacular. We flew coach, and still had multiple movies to watch and slipper and blanket. |

This was my first overseas hunt. It was also my first ever hunt where my wife traveled with me. Prior to this hunt my wife had never hunted big game, let alone harvested a big game animal. She took the biggest Impala on the trip and would now describe herself as a huntress. Just before our trip my father moved into a retirement community and gave me his prized 1903 A3 Springfield in 30-06. He had this 109 year old action sportorized by a well known local gunsmith in the late 1960s or early 70s. The gun has not been used in more than two decades. I shot it in and elected to take it as my primary weapon on the trip. When I told Dad that I was taking "his gun" as my main gun, it brought a tear to his eye. He said he had always dreamed of going to Africa on a Safari and if he could not make it there, it was great for his favorite gun to make the trip. The gun performed perfectly taking all but one of the 11 animals that we harvested, all were one shot kills. All the animals dropped within sight of where we shot from, many dropped immediately. The wildebeest was the only animal taken with my A Bolt in 375. The true highlight was seeing a professional team who are GREAT at what they do. The team of Whitey our PH and Shorty our tracker and skinner, could not have done a better job. They knew where to find the animals. They were dogged in their pursuit of the animals on my list, hunting multiple days for quality animals, not just to kill a representative of the animal. More times than I can remember, I heard, "no sir", we can do better, after a long stalk, on what I thought was a beautiful specimen. Whitey was incredibly sensitive to the needs and concerns of a new hunter, my wife. He took adequate time to "show her the ropes" and to explain not only what we were doing but why we were doing it. He gave her an opportunity for a perfect first hunt, and worked very hard to make it happen. He took very seriously his commitment that we were his responsibility from the time he picked us up at the airport until the time he dropped us off for our return trip. His field estimates on the size of the various animals was spot on! He was never more than a 1/4 inch off on trophy measurement, something that was especially important to me, since I am a SCI measurer. His truck, and all of his equipment was spotless. I know for a fact that the truck was washed AT LEAST one time a day. We never had to deal with the remains of the hunt from the day before. The food on this hunt was simply put the best I have ever had while hunting. I say this even though I used to be one of the owners of a large hunting concession in British Columbia and we had darn good food. We had fresh game to eat every day, if we wanted it. They had plenty of our favorite drinks and desserts. Our room in the lodge was immaculate. There was even a pool and hot tub, not bad for being in the bush! There was even daily laundry service, so we had to pack less clothes. I have to compliment the outfitter for not hitting us with any surprises when it came time to settle the finances at the end of the hunt. The adventure was everything we had hoped for an much more. I still miss being met at the door of the lodge each night with a warm wash cloth and a glass of sherry. |

Appropriate gear for winter african safari includes good safari jacket, underarmor gloves and a warm hat. Belt mounted shell holder will be a big plus. Quality glass is key, as you will spend a good bit of every day looking for and at animals. |

This is a top of the line, quality hunt from top to bottom. All of the equipment is in great condition and the people working for Numzaan treat you with the utmost courtesy. You may arrive simply as a client, but you will leave as a new friend. We met a number of the other PH's and they were all smartly dressed and polite as well. I never saw another hunter or vehicle while we were in the field, this was truly a wild adventure. We had such a good time hunting we never did take advantage of any of the side trips. |

The concessions we visted on this hunt were wonderful. We had an opportunity to met each of the property owners or at the very least the manager. They were all wonderfully pleasant and took the time to tell us about their property. That gave us a unique insight into that property and the history of the concession. All of the properties contained great animals and plenty for you to choose from when hunting. As a Chapter President SCI, I can really appreciate the value of the donations our supporters give to our annual fundraiser. This outfitter has been a supporter of our chapter for more than a dozen years. We were treated like we were royalty. I would, no I will go there again. Wonderful. Thrilling.

Fellow hunters, if you get the chance and your family show any desire to go to Africa GO. This trip was a combination three day roe deer hunt in Scotland and then 5 day Gemsbuck,Impala,Blesbuck hunt in Africa. We bought the hunt in Reno at SCI. Numzaan was great and can produce any kind of hunt in Africa, very professional. Kamboo has new ownership ( 2 years+ ) and has great accommodations and a great Cook. They are working hard on game management it already shows. All our animals were min SCI except one. Some were gold medal. I might bid on this auction again if they donate again.

Taking my wife and daughters hunting in Africa. We hunted for a week and then spent 4 days traveling to and visiting Kruger National Park and then hunted for another week. My daughters and wife all took several nice trophies in addition to the ones I took. We took 24 animals in 14 hunting days. |

Jean-Louis, Stef, Lenette, and Jana all went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. I am thrilled that my daughters (11 and 15 years old) were able to go on an African safari and hunt several different animals. This experience will be remembered for their entire lives. My wife and I have now spent two of our wedding aniversaries on safari and my wife says these are the best anniveraries we have ever had. I agree.

The best experience of my life. My wife enjoyed it so much that she is making me go back to do another safari with Numzaan. These are good people. Jean-Louis made this trip a most memorable experience. He really went out of his way to see that our safari was perfect. He is also a good judge of character. Our thanks to the entire staff.
