The rain we encountered in the Danakil Desert was a first in Dave's 6 years of operating in Ethiopia during this time of year. Usually February - May is the dry season and the absolute best time to hunt this area. On the other hand we had perfect weather in the Din Din Mountains, which can be unstable. Dave is petitioning, on my behalf, to the Ethiopian Ministry of Tourism to be able to come back before the end of the hunting season and retry for lesser kudu and beisa oryx. Even with the rain this was truly an outstanding experience and I will be back hunting Ethiopia with Dave in the future.
