Killombero is a great place for buffalo, crocodile and hippo. There are the best rivers of Africa for tigerfish. I was happy to hunt with Miombo. I hunted with very experienced and friendly PH, staff and camp were excellent too. It was my third trip to Tanzania and I can compare. I got my hunting aim for five days. I highly recommend Miombo Safaris. They do not overhunt their area: you see lots of game. I could only stay 16 days but saw at least all different 200 elephants, 1500 buffalos and 22 lions (one fully maned and two younger males plus 19 female/cups). The quality of the camp, food and staff is outstanding. I loved tracking buffalos and took three of them. A very good lion came right to us from right side of leopardblind: I shot him at five meters with my 500 NE!
