Problems of Hunt: None Highlights of Hunt: Seeing my daughter (age 15) take 3 animals (black wildebeest, red hartebeest, springbok) on her first hunt. Seeing my son (age 12) take 9 animals (kudu, oryx, zebra, blue wildebeest, nyala, red hartebeest, springbok, eland, croc). Taking a Rowland Ward waterbuck myself. My wife and eldest daughter are not hunters (daughter is a vegetarian) but they had a great time both in the hunting areas and on trips to Etosha National Park and the Caprivi strip and Victoria Falls and into Windhoek. The food and the service were exceptional. Jofie was fantastic. I was very impressed and grateful for how much care he (and all the staff) took with the non-hunting members of our family. In addition, the time he spent and the patience he showed with my younger daughter -- who surprised me by showing an interest in hunting (and taking 3 animals) for the first time. I honestly believe that it was Jofie's patience that evoked a first interest in hunting for her. Since we have returned to the States, she has remained excited and wants to expand her hunting experience. Equipment Recommendations: Would You Recommend This Hunt to a Friend? yes Why? Jofie was wonderful and the entire experience -- food, lodging, photography safaris (to Etosha, the Caprivi, and Vic Falls), and the hunting -- was unforgetable.

Jofie has long experience in guiding but has recently started a new company, Jofie Lamprecht Safaris. His new venues (some not hunted in decades) and his affable personality made the trip wonderful. I had some reservations about the trip because two of our family members are nonhunters (and one is a vegetarian) and I was concerned that they would be "bored". I discussed this with Jofie and, despite the fact that he hunted hard with us everyday, he made special efforts to see that our nonhunters were well cared for. He also guided us on photography safaris in Etosha National Park, the Caprivi Strip, and Victoria Falls. We even managed to sneak in a crocodile hunt on the Zambezi River in Caprivi -- where my twelve year old son took at 15 foot croc. Jofie understands how to ensure that a safari is the "trip of a lifetime" for an entire family.

The facilities and food were way above our expectations. My wife, a non hunter, had a wonderful time at the lodge while I was away hunting. Hunters Namibia staff & Lodge were world class.
