Taking 6 world class trophies with the bow including the 30 inch waterbuck and my "wildebeest slam". Also, I got to hunt with PH Hein Lottering where we not only hunted from blinds, but we actually got to hunt from tree stands and do a lot of spot and stalking. |

This was my first trip to Africa, and I was not disappointed. I recommend Dries Visser to all bowhunters.
The "citadel" is truly a bow hunter's paradise. It's 10,000 acres with no cross fences and is reserved for bow hunting only. The bush is quite thick.
Dries Visser limits the total number of hunters at any given time to six. This ensures a high level of personal service both in the field and in camp. The whole staff did everything to make my stay comfortable and memorable. The service level could not have possibly been better.
All of the PH's are dedicated, experienced bowhunters. Even the chef is a dedicated bowhunter. It's a great place for bowhunters, whether it's their first trip to Africa or not. All of the other hunters in camp were repeat clients.
In summary, there were plenty of trophy quality animals, and Dries and his staff did everything to make this my hunting trip of a lifetime. They did not fail, and I hope to return.
