This was my second time hunting with Collingwood Brothers. My first hunt was a back pack hunt in 2009 and that time I did not get a Mountain goat. We saw goats but either they were positioned so that we could not get to them or changing of wind direction busted us, etc.We worked very hard on that hunt and I was very impressed with the way Ray Collingwood and the whole staff went about their business. I did not consider hunting with anyone else when I decided to do another mountain goat hunt. This outfitter is one of the best and they do everything possible to provide the best possible hunting experience. Billy and Ricco were great to hunt with. The entire staff work hard and work together. The food is very good. The camps are top notch and they have a very wide range of equipment, which is in excellent condition, to get you into prime hunting locations.I saw many goats in my first couple of days of hunting and took my goat on the third day. The weather was very poor for much of the next 5-6 days but we still saw many trophy class grizzlies and moose. I saw caribou also but just not the one I was looking for. I would certainly hunt with Collingwood Brothers again without hesitation.

On day two, rained all day, climbed steep mountain. Side hilled about 1.5 miles to get to rams. Shot ram, went down mountain. 14.5 hour day. One guess I passed this year's physical exam. |

My third hunt with Collingwood, they are the best I've hunted with in Canada. Client oriented outfit, very unique area to hunt. British Columbia resident pressure is less in Spatsizi Provincial Park. Collingwood outfit may seem to cost a bit more, but you get what you pay for - service. |
