Enclosed with this letter please find the one-side correspondence regarding a tour I booked with Cazatur and the unfortunate time I have had attempting to obtain some form of a refund. I say one sided, as since my December, 2006 correspondence with them; I have only received one evasive e-mail from them. The copied correspondence gives a clear picture of the situation. My wife and I booked a tour, paid a $10,000 deposit and then (regrettably) had to cancel. My attempt to secure a refund - or even a response back from Mr. Eduardo F. De Aroaz - has been fruitless. Perhaps through your good offices I might be more successful. Certainly, other readers of The Hunting Report, should be informed as to Cazatur's business practices. E-mail The Hunting Report sent on April 17, 2007: Greeting from The Hunting Report, I have received a great deal of correspondence from one of my subscribers, John M. Fickewirth, regarding a $10,000 deposit he paid you for a hunt he subsequently had to cancel. Mr. Fickewirth has sent us copies of letters he wrote you, asking for a refund. He says you have not addressed this matter. Are there extenuating circumstances? Is there a reason you have not replied? Here at The Hunting Report we have a section devoted to subscriber reports on matters like this. I urge you to let Mr. Fickewirth and me know how you plan to handle this matter, or at least your explanation for not getting back to him. As of December 7, 2007 we have not received a reply.
