Broadmouth has 2 hunting areas one in Utah and one in Idaho. I and friend Len Meentz hunted in Utah. A hunter may opt for the Lodge or a spike camp experience - we chose the Lodge. The operation is owned and operated by former NFL star Rulon Jones. We did not meet him but his son Garrett did stop in camp a couple of times. The people who we did spend a great deal of time with were the staff. Guides Chris, Trevor and Clint who were all terrific companions and great guides. Every hunter in camp was pleased with the guides. They seemed to really run the show and did all the work - except the cooking. The Lodge was rustic but comfortable, food and Chef Jason were great. Expect to eat well. Camp is in a great location and there is trout fishing as well. One hunter caught 11 Trout in one afternoon. Hunting is done by hiking, horses or ATVs. Most opted for the ATVs. Lots of steep uphill hiking so only a few hiked. I cannot say enough good things about the game availability and the guides. I wish I could recall all of their names for they were all pleasant, knowledgeable, helpful, energetic, companions. They will go that extra mile to see you have a good and successful hunt. They worked non-stop from first light to end of day. Rulon better hold onto those guides for they are the heart and soul of his operation. My guide Clint was terrific. I left with a fine 371 Bull and Len with a 377 Bull. Meat processing is nearby and we picked that up all packaged and ready to go on the way home. They also helped out with taxidermy. The $6,800.00 paid included all fees for a Bull up to 340. I paid the $2,000.00 extra because mine was larger than 340.
