On the way over we used Air France. We have been flying for 40 years and have never had a worse flight. FYI take Delta if booking yourself. Missed an entire day of hunting because of Air France's inept ability for customer care let alone service. However the plane did finally land. Although too late to catch our connecting flight.

Problems of Hunt: Absolutely none under the control of man, that is the snow helped the bears this time. Highlights of Hunt: I brought my wife and 3 daughters to travel Europe following the hunt. During the day when we were not hunting for bear Tomo personally took us to local sights and restaurants we would otherwise have missed. We stayed at a local hotel (Hotel Ana) in Gospic suggested by Tomo where the food and service were beyond outstanding. Be sure to have the pizza. Equipment Recommendations: None needed. Would You Recommend This Hunt to a Friend? yes Why? This is an excellent outfitter with excellent local guides. All worked extremely hard to make the hunt successful and enjoyable. Even if you bring your own, youll be so impressed by the high quality equipment youll want to leave yours behind next time. Not only do I recommend hunting with Artemis, we are already thinking about when we can go again. Hunting in Croatia with Tomo is an experience one should not miss in this lifetime.

Problems of Hunt: Highlights of Hunt: When arrived to hunting ground our group split and we went climbing the Alps in different directions. The scenery was beautiful, we saw a few chamois on our way. On the second day ,when I met with my friends after very adventurous hunt, each of of us shot very good trophy. There were 4 of us and a cameraman. Equipment Recommendations: I'd recommend good leather boots, light rifle and to do some training before you go. Would You Recommend This Hunt to a Friend? yes Why? It was a lifetime experience for all of us and we had great holidays with Artemis Hunting Limited year after year. Guys in Slovenia were so helpful and professional. There is trout fishing too and many sports on the river of Soca.

The hunt was smooth, organization excellent, guides professional and very patient. Some guides didn't speak good English but it didn't matter at the end. The area where Artemis Hunting Ltd. operates is very good for family holidays and there is good ski resort, hiking trails, sports on the river, museum and nice restaurants. From the peaks of 1600 to 2500 meters high we could see Italy and Austria. To be honest I didn't expect that each of us will get his trophy next day. Guides and the outfitter prepared themselves in advance. I have never seen such efficiency.

I must say that it wasn't easy to shoot at distances beyond 230 yards. There is lots of young rams and rams 3-6 years old and I saw 2 very big rams with horns 36-39 inch. Animals are in good number, in good health and very sensitive on humans. The hunt is not easy and it is more difficult than in Slovakia or Hungary where we shot rams in fenced grounds from blinds. This is different game and one of the best so far. They have plenty of Euroasian wild boar too with some enormous tuskers up to 500 lbs.

Problems of Hunt: There were two of us hunting for stags and with three guides we didn't have any problems. Highlights of Hunt: Two medal trophy sika stags fighting 300m from us. Problems of Hunt: I was jinxed (i.e. flat snake bit). Highlights of Hunt: This was my second trip to Croatia for brown bear (March 2009 previous) with Tomo. He was a super outfitter (you must use local concession game keepers). Equipment Recommendations: Would You Recommend This Hunt to a Friend? Yes Why? 100 percent 24 hour a day accommodation. It was a "great" hunt. I just would be in place A and the game would be in place B. That is hunting. If I was 10 years younger I'd probably did better. But it was still a great hunt. Tomo felt so bad he said he'd give me a free wild boar hunt.

Saw plenty of wild non fenced animals in excellent condition. Animals are in large numbers and every time going to my high seat I saw something. In 3 days of hunting I missed big wild boar trophy and shot 2 small 60-80kg.In Croatia average size is 100kg. My PH was excellent companion and we had a great time. The PH is also director of Artemis Hunting ltd. I booked for next season again.

The MD of agency was with me all the time and his service was very good. His English was good too but he is origin Croatian. He was very helpful, honest and great company during my stay there. The food was similar to Italian but the taste was better. Animals are impressive and whole experience different than in other European countries. I realized that the fenced animals are not fun anymore and the the real habitat of mouflon is dry and rugged terrain, not green and flat fields.
