Took wife and sister-in-law with me, they did not know first week was in tents in Caprivi - was a bit of a shock to them! Kobus made them at home in three hours or less and all was forgiven. Girls had some issues adapting to Namibia ways (mealtimes, etc.) but it worked OK for me. |

Running the boat on Kwando River, for elephant and hippo - so many animals! |

Average - will go back in better shape this year. Kobus and staff in superb shape - he ran buffalo tracks for almost an hour, with tracker, while we drove in the truck - amazing for a guy my age! |

We hunted elephant and hippos in the Caprivi, then flew over Vic Falls - Kobus has a 210 Cessna we used extensively, then returned to his ranch, shot gemsbok, zebra, warthog, genet, aardwolf, hunted Kudu, but no joy there. Flew to RSA, hunted buffalo (very nice), also shot sable, springbok and gemsbok there. Lodge at Kobus' home ranch very nice, the girls preferred that over Caprivi tents (afraid of snakes, although we saw none). The tents were nice, new, concrete floors with en-suite bath and showers. Hippos grazed every night about 100 yards from the tents, across the river. New camp, shared with Omujeve safaris, I liked it best of all. Kobus's staff traveled to Carpivi from home ranch, food was great, field skills superb also.
