Game condition was very good. I did see larger scrub bulls but they were very skittish and once they winded us, ran off for great distances. |

HUNTER COMMENTS AND/OR OUTFITTER/BOOKING AGENT REBUTTAL |
 |
Just a few notes to talk about my hunt. I hunted with my son in 2008 in New Zealand with David Musgrave and had a wonderful time. David is all about fair chase and wont tell you to shoot a sub par animal. We hunted from dark to dark for 4 days before David gave the go ahead on my buffalo. It was classic foot stalking on many animals to get close and appraise each buffalo.
As an aside, we (my wife and I) stayed at the Matatanka Homestead Resort. It had basic services, nothing fancy, but I consumed large quantities of fresh pan fried Barramundi. The food was great, but not cheap. The resort is right next to a rookory for the little red flying fox. Every evening, 10's of thousands of these fruit bats would take flight to feeding areas miles away. It was worth the trip just to watch this wonder of nature.
We traveled several hours each way to and from the hunting area. David is a great host and a knowledgeable hunter.
