Erik Mararv owner of the company CAWA has opened a in recent years what he calls ¨the last frontier and beyond¨, he holds one of the most remote hunting concessions in all Africa, its 2 million hectares are 130 miles away from the nearest village so expect to hunt one of the most wild & remote places on earth. I booked this hunt to look for 4 of the 5 precious game found in CAR, I got 2 of them and considered a very successful hunt. this is an area where you can hunt for forest & Savannah species in one trip and in the same area! I shot my Giant Eland the first day of the hunt so after a few days I wanted to look for another one we, tracked and saw numerous herds the next 10 days but could never connect with another one, this hunt could be very physically tough, you do not see much game, some days almost none at all as it is very scattered, there is a lot of water everywhere so game is not concentrated at all. My guide was Christophe Morio a though Frenchman and one of the most experienced and reputable guides in C.A.R. he knows about all game specially Bongo.
