What occasions this re-mention of a previous report is a letter we received recently from Daniel Paquet, who describes himself as General Manager of the Schefferville Outfitters Association and also of Voyages Nouveau-Québec (VNQ), which is the agency organizing all transport logistics from Montreal for all the Schefferville outfitters and a lot of Labrador ones. He writes to tell us that his organization is the only one investing in a private security system during the hunting season.
"We are perfectly aware of the problem of car theft in Montreal, and our decision to secure our parking lot at the Holiday Inn was taken in 1991," he writes. "We provide our customers with a 24-hour, seven-day security system in a lot that is earmarked for our unique use in the Holiday Inn Airport yard. Since 1991, the Holiday Inn in Montreal has had six vehicles stolen, and three have had their windows broken. None of these incidents took place in our secure area."
