Olmstead is no newcomer to the Canadian outfitting business. He is the owner and operator of several successful outfitting companies in British Columbia and the Yukon Territory, specifically Muskwa Safaris, Pacific Bear Outfitting and Devilhole Outfitters, as well as Prophet Muskwa Outfitters. Through these four operations, he conducts big game hunting for elk, two sub-species of moose, mountain caribou, mountain goat, grizzly, black bear, whitetails, Sitka blacktails and mule deer, plus Stone and Dall sheep. All of these hunts are in remote areas that require flying in, or packing in on horseback or on foot. It is located in northern British Columbia facing the east slope of the Canadian Rockies and is surrounded by 3,500 square miles of the Prophet River and Muskwa River drainages. Clients can hunt for deer, elk, moose and bears right out of the lodge. It's also a jumping-off point for stone sheep and mountain goat hunting. The place is accessible only by bush plane or horseback, making it a truly remote facility. Despite its isolation, Prophet Muskwa at Sleeping Chief offers all the comforts of a full-service mountain resort, with the Elisi at Sleeping Chief Spa the main attraction for non-hunters. A total of 4,500 square feet........(continued)
