Here's the deal. Her hunt areas are in Colorado's White River National Forest. Reaching them on horseback takes between one and a half to two and a half hours. Three different hunts will be of interest to U.S. Hunting Report subscribers. The first, for either archery or blackpowder hunters, is Haskett's drop camp hunt. Haskett takes three bowhunting or muzzleloading groups at a time, each to a separate location with groups consisting of up to six hunters. For $750 per hunter, you'll be taken on horseback to a camp already set up with a tent, wood stove, foam pads for sleeping bags and a table. Haskett will check up on you if the weather sours. At the hunt's end, she will come pack you out and will also pack out your game. On the first day of your trip someone will acquaint you with your hunting area and advise you on where elk and deer are most likely to be found.
