Clarification On Opening/Closing of SudanPublished: December - 2001 Angelo Dacey of Angelo Dacey Safaris says our previous report that this country is about to reopen is wrong, as it never closed. He says he has continued to hunt the northern part of this country, mainly the Red Sea Hills and the Nubian Desert, catering principally to Europeans. Animals available continue to be Nubian ibex, Eritrean gazelle, Salt's dik dik and klipspringer among other animals in the Red Sea Hills; and Barbary sheep and Eritrean gazelle among other animals in the Nubian Desert. He says he anticipates a normal season this year and invited interested hunters to contact him directly; or through various agents around the world.
