Chad Remains Open For HuntersPublished: December - 2001 The news is somewhat better in Chad, where Club Faune has elected to suspend operations for a year but where Alain Lefol of Alain Lefol Safaris says he plans to conduct a full season. In fact, when we reached him at press time, he was about to leave for that West African country. He says there is absolutely no fallout from September 11th in Chad. One sure barometer of the security situation is the presence in Chad of 6,000 to 8,000 Exxon employees, he says.
