We wouldn't be doing our job here at The Hunting Report if we didn't close with a couple of war-related items. First, if you are an American citizen and you are eyeing a hunt in Iran, be aware that you are playing with dynamite. It is flatly illegal right now for Americans to conduct any kind of financial transactions with Iran. It is even illegal for US agents to be offering hunts to American citizens. The possible sanctions will take your breath away. We are indebted to Conservation Force's John J. Jackson, III, for that reading of the legal situation as regards Iran.
Second, we have received a disturbing report that some hard cash generated by hunting may be finding its way into the coffers of terrorist organization Al Queda. We aren't about to name even the part of the world where we suspect this is happening, and we mention this only to alert hunters and their agents to this possibility. Just keep your ears and eyes open. Report what you hear or see to appropriate authorities.
