As for Wyeth himself, he has burst on the hunting scene with word of several new destinations other than Uganda. We've already mentioned the safari he has arranged for Hunting Report subscriber N. Garrett Powell to Guinea early next year, and we have mentioned his interest in reopening the hunting in Gabon. Now, Wyeth says he has a line on reopening the hunting in Sudan. He says a hunter who just got back from there took a "monster Nubian ibex, a Barbary sheep and an Eritrean gazelle."
With all the bad news in southern Africa these days, we indeed hope Wyeth is able to pry some or all of these countries open. Would-be safari clients need new stomping grounds.
