One of the unique hunts that Denny Geurink offers is his Dybowski sika deer hunt near Moscow. The Dybowski sika is much larger than the Japanese sika and has more impressive antlers. All hunters filled out on this hunt last year. Some of the better trophies scored 140 - 150 SCI. One lucky hunter took a lynx on this hunt, incidentally, that could go number seven in the SCI record book. This hunt is conducted out of a very comfortable two-story lodge in a beautiful pine forest. The lodge features bathrooms with flush toilets and hot showers, comfortable beds, clean linens and tasty meals. Just one hunt will be offered from January 7-15, 2002. The cost is $5,600. This fee includes all guiding services, lodging and meals during the hunt, ground transportation, license and trophy fee, field preparation of trophy, tours and hotel in Moscow, interpreters and roundtrip airfare from New York, Newark or Chicago. Wild boar and roe deer also are available here for $780 each. The boar are very abundant; the roe deer are scarce.
