The best hunting of all is in Kavango Province, west of the Caprivi Strip. It is here, in a hunting area called Kavango East (Kaudum), that a massive 101 x 93-pound jumbo was taken in 1999. There is a distinct possibility more jumbo this big will hit the ground in Kavango East. The secret here is the vastness of the hunting area. Kavango East comprises some three million acres, many thousands of which are accessible only by foot.
