Record Book Barbary Sheep Taken In ChadPublished: January - 2001 Over in the West African country of Chad, the good news is, subscriber Bruce Keller has taken a Barbary sheep with Alain Lefol of Alain Lefol Safaris that may be the new No. 2 in the Safari Club International Record Book. The huge sheep reportedly measured 30 7/8 x 30 5/8 in the field and had 12-inch bases. We have asked Keller for a photograph of the sheep and for permission to download it to our new "Trophy of The Month" web site section.
We have the news from Chad directly from Lefol, who had just returned to Paris from West Africa at press time. Lefol says Keller also took a red front gazelle, a Dorcas gazelle, a Senegal hartebeest and a western greater kudu. He said he was headed back to Chad in mid-January for six back-to-back, 21-day safaris.... ........(continued) |
