Miller-Eriksen Ranch (c/o Richard "Dick" Eriksen): Manages 1,000 acres in Mendocino County for blacktail deer. Mountain country with elevations ranging from 2,000 to 3,100 feet, located in Department of Fish and Game Region 3, Deer zone B-1. Usually obtains 17 antlered deer tags, most of which are for sale. Hunts cost $1,400 for 1 x 1 guiding and $1,200 for 2 x 1. Self-guided hunts are also available for a lower price. Tell Dick Eriksen what you want and he will adjust cost to suit your needs. Both guided and self-guided hunts include lodging in a hunting cabin on the ranch. Self-guided hunters furnish their own vehicles, but guides furnish field transportation for guided hunts. Facilities for taking care of meat include a screened shed. Hunting for wild hogs is also available.
Musty Buck Preserve (c/o Noel Owens): Manages 8,707 acres in Butte County for blacktail deer, bear and turkeys. Terrain ranges between rolling foothills and more rugged mountains with a mixture of open and forested terrain, mostly oak. Hunting is in a very remote, gated part of the ranch. Located in Department of Fish and Game Region 2, Deer zone C-4. Usually obtains 17 buck deer tags, 15 either-sex deer tags, 25 antlerless tags, five black bear tags and four turkey tags, all of which are for sale.
