Well, the hunter on that safari was Douglas Norman and he has now filed a report on his experience. Turns out he took what should be the new No. 1 western kudu, the No. 3 or 4 Korrigum, a red-fronted gazelle, a Dorcas gazelle and a reedbuck that should be in the top-ten and a western kob that should be in the top-40. To be sure, Norman did not hunt the aoudad sheep areas (one of this country's biggest draws) and he struck out on Lelwel hartebeest, Lord Derby eland, roan, Nile buffalo and waterbuck. Nonetheless, he does recommend the hunt overall. Perhaps the upbeat finale means better things will happen this coming year.
