"I would like to let Hunting Report subscribers know that I have helped Venezuelan hunter, Juan Lloan Francisco Reyssi, take a 91 x 85-pound elephant. During this safari, we saw numerous bulls in the 70-pound-plus range and an even greater number of 60-pounders. These bulls appeared to be crossing into Zimbabwe from Botswana. Normally, this movement takes place later in the season, but apparently a shortage of water over there sent them across sooner. Reyssi had initially booked a 14-day lion safari with me but when he saw the quality of the elephants in the area he upgraded his hunt.
