As for hunters in other countries, they may indeed be able to bring markhor trophies home with them. They do need to be sure that the animal they hunt is of the approved subspecies, and that the outfitter they hunt with is in a position to secure the necessary CITES and Pakistan export permits. Also, they should check with their own government to be certain there aren't laws in their country barring the import of markhor trophies. At press time, Jackson said Conservation Force has long been involved in the fight to get markhor back on the list of huntable and importable trophies.
