Potts offers two different types of 10-day hunts. One is a backpack hunt, and the other is a traditional hunt that may include horses, vehicles, tent camps, wranglers or whatever is required. The backpack hunt is on a 1 x 1 basis at a cost of $6,000. The other hunt, at a cost of $7,500, is also on a 1 x 1 basis, with wranglers occasionally serving as an extra set of eyes. Because of the new computerized application method available for sheep, you must know that Potts is licensed for hunts 5004, 5006 and 5016 for Rocky Mountain bighorn; and for hunts 7001, 7002, or 7003 for California rams. Potts can also outfit, with permission from the Outfitter Board, for hunts 7006, 7007 and 7008. You can call the Idaho Controlled Hunts at the number listed below to complete your application. Potts also hunts deer and elk in unit 20-A, but he is best known for his sheep operation.
