According to Neil Summers of Bowhunting Safari Consultants who shared with us a clarifying fax from ZATSO's George Pangeti, "alienated lands" include private property, as well as "trust land held in terms of an agreement or lease." This means bowhunting can be conducted on communal lands, Pangeti says in the fax. Interested hunters should get a copy of the regulations and study them carefully before booking a hunt. Of particular importance are the different draw weights specified for different classes of animals. The draw weights range from a low of 55 pounds for an animal such as the impala up to 77 pounds for an eland.
