"I purchased Qaivvik Ltd. because I felt Fred's caribou hunts were the best in North America. Year in and year out since 1984, Fred has had only one guy not take a caribou. The purchase gives us four licensed camp sites and 132 guaranteed caribou tags, plus unlimited wolf and wolverine tags. For his part, Fred will continue to operate his muskox, wolf and polar bear hunts out of Coppermine in the NWT. He's promised to help supervise the transition, however, and he has encouraged his caribou staff to stay on. At this point, we have rehired most his people.
