Hunts In Kruger National ParkPublished: August - 2000 In South Africa, there is finally some good news on those special hunts being conducted in Kruger National Park this year by Wayne Wagner Safaris. Continuing subscribers already know a total of four hunts (two for buffalo and two for elephant) were authorized in the far northern corner of the park as part of a land-claim settlement.
Muddy conditions and thick brush in the area have forced several postponements, but one of the buffalo hunts has finally been conducted. Seems an Mbogo measuring "42 inches" has hit the ground. We hope to have many more details next month, as both of the rescheduled jumbo hunts and the final buffalo hunt are firmly scheduled to take place in August. Stay tuned. ........(continued) |
