There is good and bad news to report from Chad. On the positive side, Hunting Report subscriber Gerald Warnock called us last month on PH Alain Lefol's satellite phone to report that he had just taken a Barbary sheep, a Dorcas gazelle, a Western greater kudu and a red-fronted gazelle. He had just started his search for a Senegal hartebeest. Warnock said the entire safari had gone well and Lefol was to be congratulated for his multi-year effort to get this country open. The bad news was, Lefol had come down with hepatitis and been medi-vaced to France, where he was hospitalized. As this issue went to press, Lefol was still in a hospital in Paris, but was expected to recover sufficiently to attend the Safari Club International Convention in Reno and fulfill his hunting obligations in Tanzania and elsewhere.
