Three High-Profile Hunters Cancel HuntsPublished: February - 2000 Hunters booked into Liberia may want to note that three high-profile hunters, Warren Parker, Wayne Pocius and Al Cheramie, canceled their plans last month to hunt this country with Tom Banks of West African Safaris. The major problem was Banks' failure to provide Pocius and Parker Business Class seats as promised on Air Afrique. Both paid for the upgrade. On the eve of their departure date, Pocius says he had not received a ticket at all. Parker says he did receive one, but it was for economy class. All three hunters' concerns were heightened by reports that Banks has been asking clients for additional funds once they arrive in Liberia. At press time, Banks was back in Liberia with another hunter and was unavailable for comment. We will publish his view of things as soon as we can reach him. In the meantime, booked and prospective clients alike should know these latest reports cause us great concern about the future of Tom Banks' Liberia program.
