"The minister is now back in Brazzaville and has informed our representative that "...the legislation officializing bongo hunting has been drafted and will be approved by a council of ministers by the end of May," Stockenstroom said in a fax late last month. He went on to say this means his plans to "combine forces" with the well-regarded French hunting company, Haut Chinko Safaris, will go forward as well. It is not clear at this writing whether either or both companies have openings this year, but would-be bongo hunters should check out this opportunity. It undoubtedly offers the best opportunity in all of Africa to take a bongo.
