We talked to Aschbacher at press time and discovered that he is all booked out for 2013, though he does maintain a cancellation list and is taking deposits for 2014 with some openings still left.

Hunter Reviews Moose Hunting in Northwest TerritoriesPublished: February - 2013 In Northwest Territories subscriber Richard Haykel took a 56-inch Alaska-Yukon moose with Werner Aschbacher of South Nahanni Outfitters (867-399-3194), personal guide Byron Gagne. (See Report 8863.) Despite the fact that Haykel describes himself as "out of shape," he also took a 38.5-inch Dall sheep and a caribou scoring 360 B&C. He failed to take a mountain goat ("couldn't walk"), but still says it was "AMAZING to hunt in God's country."
