When you write for information on his hunts, Sy will send you a booklet describing each hunt in detail and a list of over 40 references you can call, plus dozens of photos of typical animals you can expect to encounter. They're not all huge, and Sy makes no pretenses about offering super, record-book type animals. Rather, you will seek out, and likely find a good representative specimen of mature mule deer, antelope and in a few cases, elk or whitetail. Almost all of Sy's hunters have shots at game and his overall success rate is 90 to 100 percent. One of Gilliland's hunts is in Montana on a 40,640-acre ranch where the hunting has been carefully controlled for the last several years.
